A living hinge is a flexible section of wood created by a series of precise laser-cut slots. This allows the frame to bend and stand on its own base without hardware. It is designed to be freestanding only and does not hang. Over time, the hinge will naturally take on the shape you display it in, becoming gently set in that position with use.

The hinge area is intentionally flexible, but it is also delicate. Twisting or forcing it can cause it to break, so it should be handled gently and not bent beyond its natural curve. If you ever want to change the shape, you can lay the frame flat for a few days and it will gradually relax back toward its original position.

Your tiles slide in from the top and stay clean, protected, and ready to admire. Behind each opening, the frame holds up to four 3.5-inch Square tiles, so the frame holds eight tiles total. You can rotate which ones are in front anytime without hunting through piles.
